a brief history
Casas Adobes is a community with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. Following the Mexican–American War of 1848, American pioneers began to settle in the Tucson area, including what is now known as Casas Adobes. The area was initially part of the Amphitheater Public Schools district, which was established on July 3, 1893.
The district served various communities, including Casas Adobes, and was named for its unique geography that resembled an enormous amphitheater. Over the years, Casas Adobes has transformed from a rural district into a suburban area, experiencing significant growth and development since then. It is now a major hub of activity in the Tucson area, boasting numerous attractions and exciting recreational opportunities.
